I'M COMING
by Shundra M Williams Grubb I come with life, ingenuity, and God. with a heart on fire willing to warm away cold nights and burn up your insecurities. I come speaking tongues of sweet surrender solemn truths jazz poetry. I come dramatically Loving you hard down into your shoes Reaching up into your soul Laying you on my bed Pouring my essence into your lap. I come transforming your mind Upgrading your sensibility Destroying mythical monsters Undoing what the last one did Soothing you into forever... I come bringing it all the thunder. The pain. The sexy. The uh…uhhh…and the oh yes! I come hard, complicated, and complex Moaning underneath your Children unreleased I come Whispering cool breezes over Full moons~ I come often, frequently, and consistently In spastic rhythms that mirror hurricane winds… Shaking like light earthquakes..wet like tsunami waves…I come crazy like a natural disaster. I come apart I come correct I come sideways & I come around… I come willing, ready & able. Prophetically… I have arrived.
